I have moved around a bit Houston, TX, Alton, IL and now that I am widowed I am living in NW Ar in Centerton. I have family here and have been here for right at 2 years now. I am a birder first and foremost and I am always after the better bird photo. No birds? Then bugs,flowers, and anything else that catches my eye. I joined this group because I am certain that any of you know more about my camera than I do. I have a Canon D40 that has turned into a spare camera because I upgraded to the Canon D50 when I had to put the other one in the shop for 4 weeks during spring migration. I can't carry them both, binoculars and other neccesities like alternate lenses while hiking through the woods. I primarily use a 500 MM lens for birding. I have no photos of myself because I am always the one taking the pictures but I'll see if I can't get a friend to take one this weekend.
