I have long felt the drive to be creative. For 15 years I worked as a landscape designer and felt this medium allowed me to create the images I could see in my minds eye...that is still happening, but I often took photos of my finished work and this is when I realized I also liked creating images that could capture the feel of something.
I had always taken pictures, snapshots, but now I saw a more deliberate effort taking place. I became enraptured with creating an image from all elements, large and encompassing, to small and detailed. Nature has always held me spellbound with its beauty and intricacies, patterns and emotional expressions. I want to share what I have always seen, but had only previously captured in passing moments of time.
As I have become more adept I have moved from subjects of nature and animals and landscapes to people. Their is an intriguing challenge to capture the mood, nature and personality of whatever stands before me and to present it as the art and beauty for what it is.
